The headline value of a bookmaker promotion is only the start. The useful question is whether the offer is available to your account, possible to complete with the markets and odds you can find, and clear enough to record before you place a bet.
Check whether the offer applies to you
Start with the bookmaker's current promotion page and the terms linked from it. Check whether the offer is new-customer only, account-specific, limited to one per household, or dependent on a particular registration or payment method. An offer can be visible on a public page without being available to your account.
Also check the qualifying period. “Place by” may refer to the time the bet is placed, while another condition may require the event to settle before a deadline. Record the relevant dates rather than relying on memory.
Translate the headline into conditions
Write down the minimum qualifying stake, minimum odds, eligible sports and markets, and whether singles or multiples are allowed. Note whether the qualifying stake is returned, whether the reward is cash or a free bet, and whether the free bet has a stake-not-returned rule.
Look for wagering, rollover, deposit, withdrawal and exchange-commission conditions. These details change the value and the amount of money that may be tied up. If a condition is unclear, pause and ask the bookmaker or skip the promotion rather than guessing.
Confirm the market and settlement rules
A qualifying bet may need to be placed on a particular market, at or above a minimum price, and remain valid until settlement. Check rules for voids, non-runners, postponed events, cash-outs, partial cash-outs and bets that are rejected or amended. The exchange must also have enough liquidity at a price you can actually take.
Use the matched betting calculator only after the offer mode, odds and commission are clear. A calculator can plan the numbers; it cannot confirm that the promotion or market is eligible.
Use a proceed-or-stop checklist
- The offer is visible and eligible on the current account.
- The minimum odds, stake, market and sport are clear.
- The reward type and free-bet stake rule are understood.
- The qualifying and reward deadlines leave enough time for settlement.
- The back and lay prices have enough liquidity.
- The required stake and liability fit inside the available bankroll.
Save the offer terms, planned calculation and important dates in your offer board. Keeping the source and your interpretation together makes later settlement much easier to check.
